Yan Wo - A Gem still shinning

I remember visiting this restaurant quite some time ago and recently decided to give it a go again. Somehow, despite the long lapse, the quality of the food was still good. And the price..... Still affordable!!! It did not put a big dent to the pocket.
In total, we ordered 5 dishes, small and medium portions, giving us a chance to try a variety of dishes.

Crispy Intestines - Tender, succulent and definitely crispy. Goes well with the chilli sauce. Cooked to the right texture and well cleaned without any odour. If you're a fan of pig intestines, this is a good starter dish to have.
2 Style Kai Lan - This Kai Lan is prepared in 2 different ways, one fried crispy and the other cooked in normal frying. The dish was cooked to my liking crispy while the "kwang" was tender. Highly recommended
Mantis Shrimp in Yam Basket - This is an alternative to the usual Yam basket where the fillings are usually chicken with cashew nuts. The Mantis shrimp was yummilicious and deliciously prepared. The texture of the yam was soft with a crunchy crisp on the outer layer. Another good dish to order
Black Sauce Prawns - Decently large fresh prawns cooked to perfection and not salty despite the thick sauce. I love this dish and would highly recommend this.
Deep Fried Fish - Another great dish that we ordered. Fried crispy on the outside and fresh firm flesh on the inside. The light sauce adds to the flavour of the fish. Importantly the fish was fresh.

Overall, the dining experience was just fantastic, and I can see why it's always packed with customers, especially during weekends. An advance booking is highly recommended so that you don't have to wait long for a table. The overall cost for the 5 dishes with drinks came to less than RM 300 all inclusive
Definitely worth another trip in the near future.
