SACF - Will it be gone soon??

After hearing about tractors entering Shah Alam Community Forest, I decided to take a short hike on Friday morning just to check it out. And yes indeed, there were visible signs of tractors bulldozing their way through SACF at certain parts. The devastation was quite visible as what used to be nice hiking paths have turned in to muddy highways....😡😡😡😡

Part of the cleared hiking paths by bulldozers, the path to Budiman Peak (left)

However the other paths is still untouched, thankfully, but am not sure why these areas at the start of the trail has been cleared.

Nevertheless I managed to put in about 3.5 hrs of hiking, including rest and brunch time. I started from Alam Budiman up to Peak Garden, continued through passing The Wall trail towards Bukit Sapu Tangan. However had to turn back halfway as we encountered some aggressive monkeys along the trail. Decided not to proceed as the monkeys seem agitated.

Managed to come across some large fungus, larger than the size of my palms.

On the return trip, decided to stop by another Instagramable location, The Swing and The Birdnest. A stop worthy for taking photos
The Swing provides a very good view

After a quick stop for brunch and to enjoy the view while swinging, we headed back to the car park and headed for home. It was a good 3 hour workout, with several slopes to tackle albeit a moderately easy climb.

Will be back again to try out some new trails that I've yet to hike.
