SACF Morning Workout

It was a quiet CNY for me....trying to stay safe and healthy with all the C19 going around. However I managed to get a hike done during this CNY festive period....My usual hangout in SACF (or Shah Alam Community Forest)

The trail starts off at Alam Budiman. The field is now off limits to vehicles....thanks to some irresponsible hikers who park haphazardly and on the football field😑😑😑😑...There are parking bays available at the shop areas...albeit a short walk to the trailhead

It must have rained the night before as the trail was quite wet...some parts muddy and slippery but nevertheless walkable. The trail from Budiman to Peak Garden is an easy trail, wide and directional signs are easily seen...you won't get lost.

The hike up to Peak Garden takes about 30 mins to 45 mins depending on your speed and stamina but nevertheless as easy one and very ideal for beginners. There are a few slopes to hike up but it's not difficult. Nevertheless the rain during December and January have caused some erosion on the trail and slopes.

On the way up to the peak at the 1 km mark there is a covered rest stop. Ideal for hikers who may want to take a short break plus catch your breath before continuing your hike.
The 1 km Pit Stop

Just before reaching the peak, there's a sign that points to the direction of the swing. It's just a 1 - 2 minute detour. There are chairs and tables, hammocks and a swing. There's even a bird nest made from twigs....!!!! The view is amazing and a good Instagramable stop.

I manage to try the swing and at first it's quite scary as you're swinging in to the slope but after a few swings, no fear no worries😁😁😁😁

At this stop there are chairs and tables with a covered area to rest. I'm not sure who did it or how they did it, but someone brought up a round glass dining table with proper dining chairs!!!😱😱😱😱
The Rest Stop

After the quick stop we continued to the peak, a short 5 - 10 minutes hike.

Overall, this trail is an easy one, even for children. It is not difficult and the time taken is not too long.  There are longer trails to hike and ideal for beginners as well.
