Bukit Batu Putih in Port Dickson

Ever since I came back to Malaysia, I've had numerous conversations about taking a hiking trip to PD and this week it finally became a reality, this time off to Bukit Batu Putih or White Rocks Hill.
The entrance to Tg Tuan Forest Reserve

Blessed with good weather and a smooth trip, we started our hike around 9.00am
There's parking available at the main entrance of Tg Tuan Forest Reserve just next to the PD Ilham Resort. Since we went on a weekday, there was ample parking
Car Park Area leading to the main entrance
The trail head starts at the entrance arch and is an easy walk since it's on tarmac road and there's sufficient rest stops.  The road goes all the way up for about 20 minutes before you arrive at the turn off point towards Batu Putih. If you continue for another few minutes along the road it will take you to the Lighthouse

The stairs that leads to the trail to Batu Putih and the wide easy path

You will reach the stairs to the path that leads to Batu Putih. This stretch is an easy walk with some undulating paths and you will reach the rocks in about 15 mins. Once at the rocks there are about 4 paths to choose to get to the peak, 2 of which are provided with ropes while the balance require some stretching to climb up. The climb takes only a few minutes as it's not very high.

Two of the different ways that you can climb to get up to the peak, the right photo is with ropes

Once you are the peak you will immense yourself with the magnificent view of the surrounding area and the calm sea. We spent quite a fair bit of time taking beautiful shots despite the hot blazing sun shinning down on us.
The magnificent view from the Peak

From the Peak we descended down a semi steep slope to the tip of the Cape, which I aptly named Rock Point. Here, you're almost touching the sea and the view is just as impressive as the Peak, and it's shady. Another photo ops moment. We took a slightly longer rest here to have our brunch!!!πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

After our hearty lunch we went back up the same slope......😫😫😫back to the base of Batu Putih. From here there's another trail that will lead you down to Monkey Beach, and this is a very steep slope albeit a short one. It'll take about 10 - 15 mins to get down depending on your stamina and speed. However there are ropes to help you descend.

Once we reached the bottom, it was like a private beach, all to ourselves. The sea was calm, there were no monkeys, plenty of shady rest areas, there's even a camping site and swings as well

After a brief stop at the Monkey Beach, we headed back, taking another trail which loops around the tarmac trail. We had to climb up some slopes (again!!!!) although it was a short one and we came out through the side road of Ilham Resort.
Our exit point

Overall, this is an easy trail for beginners, not too long to hike and not difficult, although we took about 3 hours to complete this hike (including all the rest and photo shoots). But I will be back again soon, but this time to the caves, the well and up the lighthouse trail

No Hills to low.... No Distance to Far
Hiking is a Journey....Not a Destination
