Hiking Kiara - C Trail - Seri Bintang Hill

Another great day out hiking from Taman Persekutuan in TTDI to Seri Bintang via C trail in Kiara albeit a test of your stamina and endurance. The entire hike with all the stops for rest, photo shoots and whatnot took us about 6 hrs plus.
We started our hike from Taman Persekutuan in TTDI, warmed up a bit by walking along the concrete path before branching out into the forest. The initial hike was easy and relatively flat and soon enough the ascend starts to join the Flintstone's Playground Trail. This trail is a mix of ups and downs and will lead to Janie's Addiction Trail. You will also come across all sorts of names given to the trails (as below). SC is Starbucks Corner 😁😁😁😁

You even have MILO and COFFEE as waypoints

The hike took us through some densely covered path with overgrown shrubs and through durian plantations, unfortunately it's not durian season

Part of the hike require us to walk underneath the NKVE Highway and you can feel the ground shake with all the heavy vehicles passing by...... Don't forget your Instagram shot as well

Once you passed the Highway, you would have reach the foot of Seri Bintang Hill, its a start of an uphill climb all the way. Depending on which path you take, there's the sheltered way or the sunny way (that's the path underneath the pylons) which is open and could be hot on a sunny day... The sheltered way is quite steep but there are ropes to help you climb up the steep slopes

The exposed path (on the left) and the steep hike up with ropes

Once you reach the peak there are plenty of shady spots to take a good rest..... You can also get a good view of KL skyline. If you're still game for it, you can continue to hike to the second peak....also called Seri Bintang

The peak and the magnificent view of KL

The good thing about hiking during weekdays is there are not many people and you practically have the whole place to yourself 😎😎😎😎

On our return to TTDI, we opted to take another route through Jalan Palimbayan, a much easier route as it was a road hike, cutting off halfway back in to the forest before joining the main trail to  TTDI.

Overall a good workout, strenuous hike but worth the time spent....
